How to find healthy and natural personal care products

Have you been struggling with sourcing natural products to use? Trying to find the best deodorant, shampoo, lotion, makeup, baby care products, or sunscreen? There are many choices on the market these days but some are definitely safer than others. We love using the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep website tool to analyze all the products we use or are interested in using. This is actually how we found our baby care products that we are currently using with our newest addition to our family.

This website tool allows you to search by product type, brand, and even ingredients. It empowers you with the ability to truly understand what you are exposing yourself too. The number rating system makes it very user friendly to find the least harmful/least toxic product.

Be warned, it’s such an amazing tool, that once you start researching the current items you are using, it will be hard to stop! My first encounter lasted over 3 hours! LOL

 
 

What are your thoughts on vaccinations?

Education before you vaccinate! I believe that parents need to make informed and educated choices about all healthcare options for their children, including vaccinations, and that they deserve the freedom to make the choice that works best for their family. This is a very personal decision and unfortunately not one I can make for you. I can tell you that many of our vaccines still contain toxic substances, and the amounts of these going into a child during a single visit has its consequences. I also urge you to research your states guidelines for vaccines and entry into school. Many states have exemptions available for numerous reasons to allow your child to enter school with or without the vaccines. Please do your homework to find out the specifics for your area and know that you do have options. Here are several resources to help you:

Absolutely, and they should be our first priority. The toxic epidemic our children are facing today is like no other in history. For the first time, our children actually have a life-expectancy shorter than ours. We MUST do something about this.
